I am going to add some current railroad pictures to this web site. Here are some from a railfan excursion that traveled along the CSX (former Richmond, Fredricksburg and Potomac) from Richmond to Fredricksburg, then followed the NS "B" line over to the Shenandoah Valley. The "B" line is a crooked, hilly piece of railroad and was a branchline for decades. But now freight to the Northeast has been rerouted and the line see upwards of 12 trains a day with more to come as the Crescent Corridor gains momentum. The Penn mainline west of Harrisburg got some attention and then it was on to the Strasburg Railroad, where I gave a speech to an assembly of rail preservationists.
